Family stays comforted and close with the little things that make big days easier.
During long hospital stays, small moments of comfort can make a big difference. Our Hospitality Carts bring those moments right to the bedside, offering comfort, support, and connection to paediatric patient families at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead (CHW), Nepean Hospital, and Campbelltown Hospital.
Fully operated by our incredible volunteers, the Hospitality Carts visit the NICU and Children’s wards several days a week, carrying essential items that help families stay close to their ill or injured child without needing to step away. Stocked with practical items, gentle comforts, and needed distractions, they offer a little lift exactly when it’s needed most. By easing the load and brightening the day, our Hospitality Carts help families feel supported, stay connected, and face each new moment together.
Our Carts carry activity books, puzzles, and toys, as well as snacks and beverages, toiletries, and other comfort items.
These are all offered at no cost to families, alleviating a little bit of the stress that comes with having a seriously ill child in the hospital.
