Non-Resident Families

Support services for patient families at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead

Supporting non-resident families, every day

To extend our care and support beyond resident families at Ronald McDonald House Greater Western Sydney Westmead, we’ve also developed programs for non-resident families.

Our Westmead House is open during the day to welcome all families whose children are receiving treatment at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead (CHW).

Within CHW, the Ronald McDonald House Greater Western Sydney Family Room is also open seven days a week so family stays close when their child needs them the most.

A comforting sanctuary for families inside The Children’s Hospital at Westmead

"Ronald McDonald House has been a source of community, a place to relax, and somewhere to escape the hustle and bustle of the hospital and to let our guard down. We lived locally and weren't staying at the House, but our unique story was recognised and we were given a chance to stay for dinners, use the gym facilities, stay for Day Pass, and felt cared for in a way that was helpful to us."
