Ronald McDonald House Greater Western Sydney Family Room, The Children’s Hospital at Westmead (CHW) offers a calm space away from the medical environment, where family stays close while taking a moment to breathe. It’s a safe place to rest, grab a bite to eat, freshen up, or simply pause during long days of tests and treatment.
Staffed by our compassionate volunteers, the Family Room gives vital respite for parents and carers. Research* shows that 87% of families using Ronald McDonald House Family Rooms experience improved emotional well-being, and 90% report better rest and physical health.

Saturday, 11th April – 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Sunday, 12th April – Closed
Monday, 13th April – Closed
Tuesday, 14th April – 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM
Wednesday, 15th April – 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Thursday, 16th April – 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM
Friday, 17th April – 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Saturday, 18th April – 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM
Sunday, 19th April – Closed
All families with an admitted child at CHW are eligible to use the Family Room. Registration is required at no cost upon entry.
