Respite and comfort away from the hospital

Daytime meals and support

Ronald McDonald House Greater Western Sydney developed the Day Pass Program in partnership with The Children’s Hospital at Westmead (CHW) to extend our support to all families of patients receiving care and treatment at CHW.

Families can access our facilities and programs, away from the clinical hospital environment, daily between 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM.

Benefits of the Day Pass Program

Some of the conveniences our Day Pass Program offers within our ground floor and outdoor areas are:

  • Complimentary light meals and refreshments
  • Kitchen facilities to prepare own meals or snacks
  • Quiet spaces away from the hospital
  • Comfortable living area spaces and a massage chair
  • Gardens and a covered outdoor playground
  • Child-friendly spaces for craft or activities provided by our in-house Learning Centre
  • Friendly staff and volunteers
  • Free wi-fi

Our House is conveniently located at 1 Labyrinth Way, Westmead 2145, accessible via Redbank Rd or a short 300m walk through the gate at the end of CHW’s children’s garden.
