Ronald McDonald House Greater Western Sydney Family Accommodation, The Children’s Hospital at Westmead (CHW) provides accommodation within the hospital so families can remain close to their child’s care when they need it most.
Located on Level 9 of the Wattle Building (Paediatric Services Building), our Family Accommodation helps families stay close to their child’s care without the added stress of finding accommodation away from the hospital.
When a child needs healthcare, families shouldn’t have to choose between being there for their child and being together.
Our Family Accommodation offers 10 private family rooms designed to give families a comfortable place to rest between treatments and appointments. Being located within the hospital means families can spend less time travelling and more time where they are needed most: beside their child.

Families don’t need to stay overnight to access support from Ronald McDonald House Greater Western Sydney.
Through the Day Pass Program, families with a child receiving treatment at CHW can access many of the facilities and supports available within the Family Accommodation, including meals, shared spaces, and everyday comforts.
Day Pass visitors can rest, enjoy Grab&Go meals, connect with other families, and take a break from the hospital environment while remaining close to care.

Registration is required at no cost upon entry.
All CHW wards are eligible to refer, with priority given to families of inpatients with critical or complex needs. There is no distance criteria and sibling accommodation is permitted, but allocation is based on clinical need.
