Rise and Dine

Start your day by brightening someone else’s.

Breakfast that warms more than bellies

For parents and carers of ill or injured children, mornings often begin with exhaustion and emotional weight. With long hospital days ahead, finding the time or energy to prepare a fresh, nourishing breakfast can feel overwhelming.

That’s where Rise and Dine comes in.

We invite you to step into our kitchen and help start families’ days on a warmer note by preparing, cooking, and serving breakfast. These simple, caring gestures help fuel families for what lies ahead, physically and emotionally.

More than just filling plates, you’ll be serving reassurance and a moment of calm at the start of a daunting day.

What Rise and Dine means to families

When families are constantly in and out of the hospital for treatments and appointments, mealtimes often fall to the bottom of the priority list.

You’re offering more than just nourishment by taking care of breakfast; you’re easing the emotional and mental load that comes with caring for an ill or injured child.

It’s one less thing for families to worry about, and one more way they feel supported.

Your Rise and Dine experience will begin with your cooking session. Your group will then have the opportunity to share a meal with families—a chance to connect and see the impact of your generosity firsthand—before finishing with a guided tour of Ronald McDonald House Greater Western Sydney Westmead.

Why your support matters

Our meal programs are only possible because of the generosity of organisations and groups. Your involvement directly helps us continue providing comfort, care, and practical support to families during one of the most challenging times in their lives.

The booking fee is a tax-deductible donation that will help us achieve our ambitious goal of increasing our meal services by 70%. This will allow us to provide at least one nutritious meal per day, not only to families staying at the House, but throughout the entire Westmead Health Precinct.
