Resident Families

Our 60-room Ronald McDonald House is located next door to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead (CHW), offering accommodation and wraparound support to parents, caregivers, and siblings of seriously ill children receiving treatment at CHW. Our Ronald McDonald House also supports mothers going through high-risk pregnancies.

While consideration is given to each family’s needs and their child’s medical circumstances, we prioritise:

• Families who live further from the hospital 

• Families whose children have been recently diagnosed 

• Families whose children have been seriously injured 

• Families whose children require emergency treatment

We strive to accommodate the needs of families whenever possible, but this is always subject to availability.

This is provided at no cost to eligible families. To find out if you’re eligible for government financial assistance, contact your hospital social worker or talk to one of our team.
