Wednesday, 28 January 2026 – Ronald McDonald House Greater Western Sydney is proud to launch its third Hospitality Cart at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead (CHW), extending even more comfort and care to families during some of their most challenging moments.

Following our carts at Nepean Hospital and Campbelltown Hospital, the Hospitality Cart at CHW continues our commitment to supporting even more families with children who are ill or injured.

Run entirely by volunteers, the Hospitality Cart travels through children’s wards offering body and boredom boosters. Hygiene products, snacks, toys, and small surprises are complimentary and designed to lift spirits.

Hospitality Cart visits also provide moments of connection with our caring volunteers. For families facing emotional hospital stays, a friendly face and a short chat can help ease feelings of isolation and anxiety, reminding them they’re surrounded by a community that cares.

The Hospitality Cart at CHW will initially visit the wards weekly, with plans to increase frequency over time. Each visit is made possible by our dedicated volunteers and our generous community, who donate items to help stock the carts.

Your generosity will allow us to help more families when they need it most.
